product review - benefits new bronzing kit

04/06/2013

benefit 'the bronze of champions' kit - £26.50

for the past month or so i've really been getting into tanning beauty products and now i'm really loyal to fake tanning as i just cannot bear to see my casper white complexion anymore. there is very few products when they get released that i jump at the first opportunity to get but for me, i knew i had to get it. even without seeing any reviews on blogs or makeup alley benefit is a brand i always trust to have really great products. as i already own the hello flawless foundation for them i thought by buying this is would be perfect to work on top of my base to leave my skin radiant and allowing it to breathe. i know i should have probably taken a photo with the swatch of the hoola bronzer (sorry) but is it sad that if i just admit it's because i didn't want to smudge the writing? haha. my last two outfits posts here and here i'm wearing all of the products together showing that you won't be wasting your money because for me i've got to use all the products. the creaseless cream eyeshadow in bikini-tini is lovely to wear alone for a quick brightening fix to your eyes or i think it would also be great to use a primer for if you want to add another colour on top. if not then you could always just blend the darker brown powder shadow in the crease which is what i tried the first time i applied it. the watt's up highlighter is my favourite product in the whole kit, it's the perfect shade to compliment your complexion without making you look super shiny as it's more of a gold pearlescent than a pink pearlescent like high beam. i already own benefit's they're real mascara as i got it with my ELLE magazine last month and although i don't think it's the best thing like sliced bread as far as mascara goes, i do think it's okay; at least it means i don't have to buy any mascara for a while. finally, i'm not a big lipgloss wearer but the the hoola lipgloss you receive in this kit is the perfect travel size and i can imagine just popping it on with my mascara whilst on holiday just so i don't look completely dead. it's always good for times when you can't be bothered with a lip colour. overall would i recommend this? yes definitely, if you like looking tanned like me. i think for £26, getting six products is a bargain. yes they may not be full size but lets be serious who uses full size products and doesn't want the next best thing as soon as it comes out?

*i'm currently off sick from work and bedridden so all these photos were taken earlier in the week.

  1. ooh I've been eyeing this up too, I don't think I'd use the lipgloss but everything else would be perfect! one thing that bugs me about these gift set boxes is you can't take the powders out of them so you can't really take them anywhere :( xx
