product review - impress nails

17/04/2013

it's very rare that i have negative things to say about products as i'm always able to find something good to say, but i honestly couldn't be more let down by this product so i just had to tell yous. i received these in my north meet up goodies and i can say hand on heart that these were one of things i was most excited to get out and try. what drew me in was the amazing packaging, the box shaped like a nail polish container! as i have teeny tiny hands i was so chuffed that these were suitable for me so i was easily able to find nails to fit each nail and ready to apply. overall, the application was actually really simple. just a simple pull away of the sticker and the nails were on. voilá, right? wrong. within two hours of having my nails applied one had already fallen off. i thought it might have just been a fluke so i quickly popped on a replacement and carried on but unfortunately at work the next day the same nail had fallen off once again. the following day all the nails were off. that means that instead of the week they are supposed to last mine lasted a mere 48 hours. all i can is at least they didn't wreck my nails. have you tried this brand and did you have the same experience as me? if so let me know as i would like to try the other colours they have as they are a simple solution to perfect nails.

  1. I've always been a bit curious about how these would work because I remember having false nails that were similar when I was little and they lasted an hour at most! I've read quite a few good reviews on these but I guess if it's just a sticker it won't stay on like nail glue will. It's a shame because it's a lovely concept as it is soo easy!

  3. That is so disappointing! I personally don't use press-on nails because I'm afraid of the potential damage they might do to my real nails. Paranoid, I guess!

  5. I've tried a few different types of press on nails and they're all the same - they never last their promised time and I doubt they ever would unless you were a lady of leisure who doesn't lift a finger to do anything including washing your own hair! xo

  6. That's a shame :( I've never tried this brand but in the past I've had stick-on nails that have lasted a week or so. They're a lot healthier than acrylic or gel nails tho so I'd just find another brand :)

  7. I've tried these nails before as I received some in a glossybox one month. I was excited about trying aswell but also found they would fall off! I thought they were uncomfortable to wear cos they felt quite heavy on my nails but it was probably because I'm not used to wearing fake nails! Wish I liked this product tho as they have such a lovely colour range xx

  13. We absolutely love Impress nails so are shocked to hear you had such a bad experience with them!

You can see our review here http://rosesrooftop.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/review-broadway-nails-impress-press-on.html?m=1

We wear them all the time they're great and usually last at least a week (maybe loosing 1 nail in that time).

I would say persevere and try them again. Take time to apply them, use the smaller nails for a better fit, wash your hands and buff your nails 1st and use the wipe included in the pack to prepare your nails and press them on really hard! And make sure you pull all the plastic backs off before you start appoint them. Then you should be fine :)

  15. My sister bought them recently for her friends wedding (she'd flown over from Australia and had no time for a proper manicure) and as soon as we got into the wedding venue they started coming off. To be fair they were put on in a bit of a hurry but she put another on, and by the end of the night most of them had fallen off at some point so she just removed all of them. She was drawn in by the packaging too!
