urban decay naked flushed palette

urban decay naked flushed palette - £20*

i must be one of the only "beauty bloggers" out there who until recently, did not own a blush/bronzer duo palette. it's something i've never thought to purchase when i've been looking for new products, mainly because all the high end brands like to make them incredibly expensive. now, obviously we all know urban decay nakeds range for it's eyeshadow palettes, (and foundation if you are really screwed on) but as of february 2013 they have released the flushed palette! the flushed palette is basically a trio of beauty essentials; bronzer, highlight and blush in one convenient compact. making it perfect for on the go.

before using the flushed palette my contour routine consisted of tenderling by MAC for blush, bourjois delice de poudre bronzing powder and benefits highbeam or that gal to highlight. when i received from look fantastic it was so hard to not dive straight into using it! although if you look at the second photo close enough you can see my finger prints... oops. i did use it on saturday evening as i had date night so i can tell you my my views.  i definitely prefer the powder highlight in the flushed palette as sometimes with liquid it's very easy to overdo it. meaning i could end up looking super shiny. i also really like the bronzer as it's MATTE. i can't tell you how many times i've went to the mac counter and had asked for a matte bronzer only to be sold a bronzer that not only was far too dark for me, it had shimmer in. only to know this once i had paid well over £17 for it. never again, the product is collecting dust somewhere in one my glossyboxes. the only product that isn't for me in the flushed palette is the blush. it's just a slight too bright for me and although it did look nice on, i had to be very careful with my application as it is very pigmented. don't be scared by the word pigmented though! it just means a little goes a long way with this product, i didn't want to look like a clown. i think peachy blushes suit my complexion more so that's the only reason why. overall, £20 is definitely worth it.

  2. This looks absolutely perfect, I agree that Matte bronzers are the best, and surprisingly hard to get hold of sometimes.

    1. I wouldn't let it put you off, a little of it goes a long way and it does look good on when I wore it. I just prefer peach shades over pink/magenta blushes that's all. :) It's definitely worth the money! x

  6. i don't own a duo palette either, purely because i've never found a blush and bronzer in the same palette that suits me. If the blush is quite pigmented then it's not for me... little miss pale as paper over here! ox

    1. I'm like casper too. Don't be scared by the word pigmented, it means you just need a tiny amount to achieve the look you want. Meaning it will last forever :) x
